The Enniscorthy Street Rhythms Festival is held in August each year. This 3-day spectacular event of music and dance, which began 2008, is now an established annual event in the calendar. Aimed at all ages from 2 to 102, the festival consists of all kinds of music and dance, as well as workshops, light shows and stalls.

Enniscorthy was founded in 465. The population of the town and its environs stands at 9538. Enniscorthy's many attractions include the Castle, the 1798 Visitor Centre and St Aidans Cathedral. It is situated by the River Slaney with short walks beside it to the north and to the south, on the west bank. In addition to the Street Rhythms Festival the town also holds a Strawberry fair in June and the Blackstairs International Blues festival in September
